So what you are talking about is probably not what I need (more proof-->I don't know WHAT you are talking about: I know very little about computers, and learning Unix sounds hard, though I don't actually know what it is. Remember, I'm the one having a rotton time learning html, though I realized that in fact the university's method of giving students web space is rather poor, espcially since they require people to ftp everything to then yet make it impossible to access dos from the computer labs).--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- Replying to Original Article: well, my suggestion for you would be to get an SGI, but that's me. There's some up here to play around with, and believe me, they are absolutely awesome for graphics work. they run unix...which no matter how hard i've tried, I've only gotten it to crash about 5 times...since school began. On a good day with windows, I can get a crash rate easily 5times that. when i'm trying of course. well, an SGI is a pretty good machine to run graphics off of. Its what i use to do all my CAD drawings with. nevermind the fact that i can't do it on anything else but an SGI...that should say something right there. Yes, Silicon Graphics computers are the way to go...provided you have a server, an inclination to at least dabble in Unix, and have the money. What do you think they do all the movie stuff with? damn...I need to get away from this fucking hellhole...its messing around with my conception of reality.Have Faith. Have Fun. Have Mercy.
