there is a slim chance that it might not be my transmission, but my speedometer (which governs
somewhat when the car should change gears)...it's in a transmission shop right now, and if this
is the case, i get my car back.  however, i am done with that piece of crap, i can afford to get
another car for what i'm throwing into that damnable beastie of a motor vehicle, but if my car
gets fixed, i can use it as a trade in (and drive around and look at cars much easier, as well). 
i should find out today; i'm hopefull gonna go look at cars today, just check out dealerships
and stuff, maybe call around (or get my mom too) on the non-dealer cars i saw in the paper today
i liked and try to look at those tomorrow evening after i get off work and shoot pictures.  oh,
i shouldn't get screwed on financing, mack, i'm gonna buy a used car, and those don't tend to
have balloon payments at the end.  assuming the tempo works, i should get a little under 2000
bucks for trade in on a $5-6K car, and have managable payments without the balloon at the end. 
and i'm gonna finance through my bank rather than a dealership, so that's another advantage. 
dodges are okay, but they cost too much for the amount of car you get.  fords are the cheapest
for the size and my mom doesn't have any complaints about her taurus, though i'd rahter get a
sable.  neons are too small, intrepids look stupid, maybe a spirit though.
