Name: Zapp IP: 128.135.175.110 Subject: Enough about you, let's talk about me. Email: zapp@civilizedpigdom. com Website: http:// Whew. Looks like I'm once again sloppy when it comes to maintaining my online presence. My best guess/excuse for this is that I'm re-establishing my REAL presence here in Chicago. Poop. Commonly anticipated answers: 1) My classes are: COMSCI 222 - Computer Architecture MUSIC 263 - Intro to Computer Music I SOCSCI 111 - Power, Identity, and Resistance PHYSCI 131 - Physics I (honors, but not topmost honors physics) Computer Architecture and Computer Music will be the most fun classes for sure. We may even get to fun things like the PS2 processor, XBox Processor, and graphics accelerators in CA, and, well, you all know that I love Computer Music already... The other two will be neat and fun as well, but not on the same level. 2) My extracurricular activities/responsibilities are: Pep Band! I am the Chief Information Officer (heh), responsible for webpage stuffs. Our first game is next saturday, and our first REAL practice is next Wednesday. We had no music/place to play last time. In fact, we still might not have these things. If that's the case, we will undertake the university's first pep band protest to the extreme... (like vandals?) DOC Films! I landed an A.P. (Apprentice Projectionist) spot for this quarter (and the next) with my friend and neighbor Alex. Last night was our first night in the booth. The movie shown was High Fidelity. We mostly watched and learned and each attempted to load a reel once. The process of projecting a film is really quite neat - I learned a lot last night between midnight and 2am! Ask me about it sometime - it's fun fun stuff, and I don't think I'll watch a movie in the theater quite the same way ever again. ACM! ( = Association of Computing Machinery) I am our chapter's secretary, responsible for writing down what happens at meetings and sending it out to all the members and other fun things like that. We may be involved in several programming contests this year, as well as robot wars and several on-campus activities for CS concentrators. 3) I know I haven't been on much lately. Hopefully this will change. I also know that I haven't yet written the article about the trip that I promised a week ago. This WILL be written, hopefully soon. Some major reorganization needs to happen here at CP as well, again: SOON. Got to get my rhythm back again. In related news, "Mr. Show" is a funny show, NBC Olympic coverage can eat my ass, and Stewart's Key Lime Soda is my new favorite drink for sure. -Z
